Mio Babbo’s (Los Angeles, CA) (CLOSED)

This is one of the old haunts that my guy and I decided to visit on our 10 year anniversary.  As you can imagine, we were in college, so this was as nice as our dates ever got.  However, I must say that the quality has always been good, and it has impressively stayed open for the last ten years, a feat in Westwood!  Also, the place brings back old memories, so it was definitely worth a trip back up.  🙂

Back in the day, this was actually called DiStefano’s, so when it changed names, we were concerned.  However, it had relatively the same menu and the same staff, so we were happy.

A special salad with burrata and walnuts.  Delicious!

A minestrone soup that was perfect for a cold night.  No frills, but cooked just right!

My guy’s penne with meat sauce, which was a special off-the-menu item that was nice and rustic.

My lasagna, which was easily the best of the night!  I must say that I never ordered this when we were around, but I can’t understand why.  It was delicious!

Overall, a nice trip down memory lane just sitting in the same place that we started dating.  Delicious too!
