Anandamide (Long Beach, CA)

After our delicious meal at Honduras Kitchen, we decided to walk through Retro Row.  On our walk, I spotted Anandamide, which I had heard was called a Psychadelic Delicatessen.  Groovy!

Doesn’t this storefront look groovy to you?  🙂  I’m not sure if all of the items are are dairy/gluten free, vegan, and raw, but they try to focus on a bunch of different eating diets.

After perusing the goods, my guy chose the Magical Maca bar, which had the special ingredient of maca!

I was more interested in the baked goodies…

There were also some more, lets say, “Psychadelic” items, like the house made sauerkraut and the imploded water.

Here is the contraption outside of the storefront that does the water “imploding.”

Also, I had to show off some of the cute decor.  The weighing scales and jars were cute.  I also love the blue bottles of imploded water.

My guy had his magical maca, which was dark, bitter, and a bit grainy.  Totally his style, but I want to go for one of these next time.  Beautiful!

Have you ever had maca?  How about raw chocolate?
