Frostbites Crepes & Frozen Delights (Southern California)

After our late dinner at Amor Y Tacos, we headed to Frostbites for my first Sorbet Cream, which I had been hearing about for ages from my cousins.  Luckily, they opened one nearby, so my friend (who is totally obsessed with frozen treats) and I went even though it was super late and cold outside.  🙂  Yay for like-minded foodies!

They do have crepes as well, but we were here for the frozen delights.  🙂  You may think that this is just ordinary sorbet or soft serve, but it is much, much different than anything I have tried before!  For one thing, they mix flavors to come up with completely original flavors that taste exactly like other candies…  it is totally crazy!  Also, they give unlimited free samples, so I tasted at least 10 different flavor combinations.  Amazing!

Find out which ones that we had: Was it Tootsie roll, cactus cooler, Flintstones push pop, or red Starburst?  Read on to find out.  🙂  Also, I’ll give you some of the secrets “recipes” of the flavors we tried!

It is one of their newest locations here, and they are opening a few more around SoCal.  Oh no… Now they are located around my work, school, and home.  There is no escaping it!

Here are some of their sorbet flavors: passionfruit, strawberry, strawberry-lemonade, mango, blue raspberry, and lemon.  Colorful!

Here are some more!  Chocolate, pumpkin pie, coconut cream, pineapple, cherry, and even more that I forgot…

Now, with these few flavors they come up with the most amazing combinations.  Ready to find out what they were?

Oh wait, just so you know, the Sorbet Creams are actually pretty reasonable considering how expensive frozen yogurts can be!  Also, you can see that they offer Frozen Custard, Sorbet Chills, Sorbet Sodas, Sorbet Cream Sodas, and Sorbet Shakes.

So are you wondering which flavor I got?  It was Cactus Cooler!  My friend got Red Starburst, which was above.  Both were delish!

And in case you find yourself at a Frostbites, here is a quick guide to the more interesting flavor combinations we tried (that I remember):

  • Cactus Cooler = Orange + Pineapple with Vanilla
  • Red Starburst = Strawberry + Cherry + Raspberry + Strawberry Lemonade with Vanilla
  • Flintstones Push Pop = Orange + Strawberry + Sour Apple with Vanilla
  • Tootsie Roll = Orange with Chocolate
  • Sour Gummy Worm = Sour Apple + Blue Raspberry + one of the red ones… + one of the orange ones with Vanilla  (Didn’t quite get it obviously!)
  • Coke = Margarita with Chocolate
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly = Peanut Butter + Strawberry with Vanilla
  • Reese’s = Peanut Butter with Chocolate
  • Almond Joy = Coconut Crem with Chocolate

If you happen to know more, let me know!  I want to make a nice long list so I know exactly what to try next time.

Which flavor would you try first?
