When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I admit that I don’t always make plans… but I had a preview of Del Frisco’s Grille‘s menu, and this is definitely worth planning for! Even better, they are serving the menu all weekend, so you can have it Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, if your little heart desires!
For this tasting, I visited the Del Frisco’s Grille location in Santa Monica, literally across the street from the Santa Monica Pier. We sat on the patio, the perfect place for people-watching and sunset-viewing!

Cupid’s Cocktail
We ordered a couple of drinks, with the Cupid’s Cocktail being on the special menu! It was fizzy, sweet, pink, and therefore the perfect Valentine’s drink!
We chose a crab cake to start, and it certainly did not disappoint! It is definitely heavy on the crab and not stuffed with breading filler. Crab lovers will love it!
Do you know how sometimes you can taste an ingredient and somehow it tastes more like itself because of the way it is cooked? Well, these green beans are the greenest, bean-iest green beans I’ve ever eaten. 🙂 I know I’m being funny, but my guy actually loved these and he is not the biggest vegetable lover out there!
And now for a side that we both could not resist. Honestly, this is about the best version of truffle mac and cheese that I have had. The rotini held all that creamy cheese so perfectly that there was almost more cheese than macaroni! 🙂
The steak was the perfect size and so delicious! Tender, juicy, and seasoned just right.
I wish this picture did the lobster tail justice, because it was fantastic. It was sweet, tender, and so fresh. I am practically drooling just thinking about it!
A sweet day requires a sweet ending! The chocolate cake at the bottom of the adorable jar was SO wonderful. Fudge and dense, and so good bite after bite. Also, the crunchy, chocolate pearls were both beautiful and delicious!
It was a wonderful way to spend our pre-Valentine’s Day celebration, and you should check it out this entire weekend!
